COMPUTER LEARNING PROGRAMME

The Computer Learning Programme supports autistic learners in developing foundational cognitive, academic, communication and digital literacy skills. Learning is tailored to each learner's strengths, pace, and support needs, helping build confidence, independence and readiness for everyday life, further learning and future employment.

The programme focuses on:

  • Cognitive Skills : Attention, memory, problem-solving, sequencing, categorisation, pattern recognition and organisation.
  • Academic Skills : Foundational reading, comprehension and mathematics through structured computer-based activities.
  • Communication and Independent Living Skills : Communication, task management, organisation and independence using visual supports and structured work systems.
  • Digital Literacy : Basic computer operations, keyboard and mouse skills, typing, Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Word and internet fundamentals.
  • The programme is offered in six-month cycles. Individual goals are developed through an initial assessment and reviewed with families every three months. A progress report and Certificate of Attendance are provided on completion.
